Dall-E, Chat GPT, Midjourney, Firefly, EON Reality, SketchFab – A.I. is here and here to stay! Already software companies of all types are integrating A.I. including the biggies such as Microsoft and Adobe. What I find interesting is how important imagery is in the world but how up until now Digital Artists didn’t seem like a huge career or even a huge major in schools. Now that we can generate math, graphs, texts, images, videos and more on command it changes everything. For me I’d say lesson planning is the best bang for the buck for anyone who teaches, as it typically takes months to develop a course and upkeep each semester. This is going to turn into a few hours at most with these new tools. I am sure learning management systems will be changing pretty quick (or at least I hope so) to make content creation much easier to generate. Today our short dark comedy Down and Out in Vampire Hills premieres in Los Angeles at the Cinemark, Howard Hughes. Super excited for the cast and crew. I am the composer of this film, and my sister Dr. Heather Joseph-Witham wrote this great script. The film was directed by Craig Railsback and stars horror actress Dawna Lee-Heising. Look for the film on streaming in 2023!

Down and Out in Vampire Hills is doing GREAT on the film festival circuit. We will hold a debut in LA early 2023. Stay tuned! Congrats to the entire team for a fun project and really outstanding work!

I have learned an absolute ton while learning to help others use immersive lessons in all kinds of curriculum. One thing I really see moving ahead quickly is headsets and what they can do. I expect 2023 to be the year of Augmented Reality headsets for Education and Training on the Job. Here is a great video of what that experience looks like now with my team at EON Reality. The crew is busy shooting a great comedy about Vampires and their daily misgivings! It is super fun with special effects, great actors, and a wonderful crew. This will be a Railsback Productions Release coming out early 2022.

Grammys were amazing this year. Several our our colleagues won Grammy awards. It was an honor to reach my 20th year as a voting member of the Academy.

School is back in session and I’m very excited to be teaching Digital Media at Golden West College. I have a fantastic group of audio and video students who will be creating great project together. Teaching is a passion of mine and I enjoy keeping in touch with all of my former students and watching them succeed in industry.
